WAYS YOU CAN HELP
THE CLINTON HUMANE SOCIETY
The Clinton Humane Society cares for over 2,000 lost, homeless, neglected, and abused animals every year. The shelter also assists with injured and abandoned wildlife throughout the year. Each year, we feed 6,000 to 8,000 pounds of dog food and 4,000 to 6,000 pounds of cat food. Laundry is started at 6:30 in the morning and the dog and cat blankets are folded and put away by 3:00 in the afternoon.
This task alone requires huge amounts of water, laundry detergent and bleach. Then imagine washing hundreds of dog, cat, and alternative pet food and water bowls each and every day! Every animal receives warm blankets, toys, and treats on a daily basis.Although this is a part of the normal daily routine at the shelter, it barely scratches the surface of the supplies we use. Whatever the reason that these animals ended up in our care, we try our best to make their stay as comfortable as possible.
We know they come to us scared… sometimes terrified…not knowing anyone…wondering if their people will return. There is nothing so rewarding as to see a scared animal begin to purr or wag his tail. It’s what makes our efforts worthwhile.
Below are some of the items that we use on a regular basis here at the shelter. If you can provide us with any of the items on our Wish List, we, along with the animals, would be ever so grateful.
But most of all, we are looking for
Loving Families to adopt our animals!!
Please!! HELP us if you can!!
